Getting Started with Wordpress

Ok, you can host your blog with Wordpress.org but hosting any website, whether a blog or static, anywhere beside your own domain takes some of the control out of your hands.  Someone else may have the ability to actually close you down if you don't follow their rules. 

Thus my first piece of advice, get your own domain name and your own webhosting. It's not expensive.  You can find domain names quite cheaply and once you have it, it's yours as long as you keep it registered.  Then sign up with a webhost, again, lots of cheap ones out there. 

Once you have that done, now it's time to get started with setting up your blog so I've got some excellent videos to get you going.

NOTE - If your host has Fantastico, most likely you will be able to install Wordpress automatically which will save you some time.  In that case, you can skip the first two videos which deal with installing Wordpress.
